NON SEED PLANTS
- They DON'T HAVE SEEDS
- They produce special cells called SPORES
- When spores FALL to the GROUND, they grow into NEW PLANTS.
There are two main types of non seed plants:
FERNS AND MOSSES
FERNS
- They have special leaves called FRONDS
- They are anchores to the ground by their ROOTS
- Roots ABSORB WATER and NUTRIENTS from the SOIL.
MOSSES
- They produce CAPSULES
- They DON'T HAVE ROOTS
- They are anchored to the ground by RHIZOIDS
- They ABSORB WATER and NUTRIENTS through the RHIZOIDS, STEM and LEAVES
